Ingredients

For the Banana Chips
  • 2 pieces firm, ripe bananas Peeled and sliced into thin rounds
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil Or use melted butter
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar Or coconut sugar for a less-refined option
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by slicing the bananas into even, thin discs about 1/8 inch thick.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  3. Toss the banana slices in coconut oil or melted butter until they are lightly coated.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3–5 minutes.
  2. Place the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  3. Air-fry the banana rounds for about 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. Once done, transfer the chips to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serving
  1. Enjoy the chips immediately for the best texture, or store them in an airtight container once cooled.

Notes

Ensure banana slices are uniform in thickness for even cooking. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer for maximum crispiness. For additional sweetness, consider drizzling a bit of maple syrup post-cooking.
