Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, celery, grapes, and optional mustard. Mix well and set aside.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares or circles.
Assembly
- Place a spoonful of the chicken salad filling in the center of each pastry piece.
- Fold or seal the pastry around the filling and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops of the puffs with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
These puffs are best served warm but can also be enjoyed at room temperature. Avoid overfilling the puffs to prevent them from bursting during baking.
