- Peel and thinly slice the onion into rings or strips, ensuring even slices.
- In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until fully mixed.
- Toss the onion slices in the dry mixture until evenly coated and remove any excess flour.
Cooking
- Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or lightly oil it.
- Arrange the coated onions in a single layer in the air fryer basket, cooking in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking or stirring halfway through, until golden-brown and crispy.
- Remove the onions from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
