Method
 

Preparation
  1. Peel and thinly slice the onion into rings or strips, ensuring even slices.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until fully mixed.
  3. Toss the onion slices in the dry mixture until evenly coated and remove any excess flour.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or lightly oil it.
  3. Arrange the coated onions in a single layer in the air fryer basket, cooking in batches if necessary.
  4. Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking or stirring halfway through, until golden-brown and crispy.
  5. Remove the onions from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best results, slice onions evenly and avoid overcrowding in the air fryer. Adjust seasoning as needed. Store in an airtight container to maintain crispiness.
