Ingredients
  

For the tea
  • 4 cups Water Use filtered water for better taste.
  • 4 bags Green tea bags Or use 4 tsp of loose-leaf green tea.
  • 1 inch piece Ginger, peeled and grated (optional) Adds a hint of warmth to the tea.
For flavoring
  • 1 Large Apple, any sweet variety, thinly sliced Choose varieties like Fuji or Honeycrisp for maximum sweetness.
  • 4 tbsp Honey, or to taste Adjust sweetness based on preference.
For serving
  • Ice cubes For chilling the drink.
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional) Enhances flavor and presentation.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a near boil in a medium pot.
  2. Remove from heat, add the green tea bags and incorporate grated ginger if using. Let steep for about 3 minutes.
  3. Strain the tea to remove tea bags and ginger pieces.
  4. While the tea is still warm, add thinly sliced apple and let it infuse for about 30 minutes.
  5. Stir in honey while the tea remains warm to ensure that the sweetness is absorbed.
  6. Transfer the tea to the refrigerator and chill for at least 1-2 hours.
Serving
  1. Pour the chilled tea into glasses filled with ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Notes

For the best results, use sweet apples like Fuji or Honeycrisp. Adjust steeping time if you prefer a stronger tea flavor. Consider adding herbs for a unique twist.
