Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth, ensuring there are no lumps.
  3. Mix in the cocoa powder, honey (or maple syrup), melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Add in the baking soda and salt, then gradually incorporate the flour, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. If desired, sprinkle chocolate chips or nuts on top.
  7. Bake in the air fryer for about 15 to 20 minutes, checking for doneness.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before lifting them out and cutting into squares.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. Freeze for longer storage up to a month. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes.
