Ingredients

Brownie Batter
  • 1 box standard box brownie mix Follow instructions on the box.
  • 1/4 cup water or milk Use as per box instructions.
  • 1/2 cup melted butter Follow instructions on the box.
  • 1 cup shredded coconut For chewy texture.
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce For mixing in and drizzling.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Adds melty goodness.
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts Optional for added crunch.
  • 1/4 cup additional caramel For drizzling on top.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the brownie mix box, and grease a baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix with the melted butter and either water or milk, stirring until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
  3. Gently fold in the shredded coconut, chocolate chips, and chopped nuts (if using) until they are evenly distributed in the batter.
  4. Pour the brownie batter into your prepared baking dish, smoothing it out with a spatula to ensure an even layer.
Baking
  1. Bake according to the box instructions, usually around 20-25 minutes. To check for doneness, insert a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean or with a few moist crumbs attached.
  2. Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool for about 10 minutes before drizzling with the remaining caramel sauce.
  3. Cut into squares, then serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For best results, do not overmix the batter. For a more decadent texture, let the brownies cool completely before cutting them. You can heat the caramel sauce slightly before drizzling for a smooth finish. Adding a sprinkle of sea salt enhances the flavors beautifully.
