Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 cups cold water Chilled after dissolving sugar
Lime Ingredients
  • 4–5 pieces thin‑skinned limes (washed and ends trimmed) Trimmed ends help reduce bitterness
Strawberry Ingredients
  • 10 pieces fresh strawberries, tops removed
Finishing Ingredient
  • 6 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk Adds creaminess to the drink

Method

Prepare Sugar Water Base
  1. In a large pitcher, stir the sugar into the cold water until most of it disappears, and refrigerate until well chilled.
Prep the Limes
  1. Rinse the limes, trim off the ends, and cut them into wedges.
Blend Limes
  1. Add half the lime wedges to a blender with 2 cups of the chilled sugar water. Pulse just until the rinds look broken up.
  2. Strain the mixture through a mesh strainer into a bowl, pressing with a spoon to extract the liquid. Discard the rind pieces.
  3. Repeat with the remaining lime wedges.
Blend Strawberries
  1. Blend the strawberries with the final 2 cups of chilled sugar water until the berries are fully broken down. Strain to remove seeds.
Combine and Serve
  1. Pour all strained liquids back into the pitcher and stir in the sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Serve over ice.

Notes

Chill the sugar water first and pulse the limes instead of blending to minimize bitterness. Stir until the drink is uniformly creamy.
