A fun and colorful treat made with fruit-flavored gelatin and sour rainbow candy strips, spiked with vodka for a grown-up twist.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups fruit-flavored gelatin (from packets)
  • 2 cups water Boiled
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup vodka Added after mixture cools
Candy
  • 1 cup sour rainbow candy strips
Optional Coating
  • 1/2 cup sour sugar For coating

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Boil the water in a saucepan.
  2. Take the pan off the heat and add the fruit-flavored gelatin, stirring until fully dissolved.
  3. Whisk in the granulated sugar and corn syrup until the mixture is clear and smooth.
  4. Let the mixture cool slightly, then stir in the vodka.
  5. Lightly grease a baking dish, pour in the mixture, and refrigerate for 4–6 hours until firm.
Assembly
  1. Run a knife around the edges of the gelatin slab to loosen, then unmold it.
  2. Cut the slab into 1-inch strips.
  3. Pair each gelatin strip with a sour rainbow candy strip and roll them tightly.
  4. If desired, coat the outside of each roll with sour sugar right before serving.

Notes

For best results, wait for the gelatin to set until firm, not just cold. Use a thin film of grease for easy unmolding, and pair with other quick sweets for a party tray.
